A Mother’s Journey

I wanted to share some peektures on a fab, yummy dinner cooked by dearest J last Sunday and even our late-night CNY shopping in Chinatown and Mustafa with my mum last night…

BUT

When I come across THIS from someone else’s blog. I knew I HAVE TO share this… I couldn’t bear to just click and go…

A Mother’s Journey

Our Third Polariod!

*credits to Kiehl’s*

Yesterday was an eventful Sunday. A group of us had yummy XO beehoon fish soup at holland V before heading down town for some shopping! The boys went home with their loots while the girls were all empty-handed. haha!

We were at Ion and it was simply crowded! I wonder if it was the cny shopping madness or the usual weekend crowd!? gosh. Sales are everywhere! Very tempting indeed. Almost bought a pair of cream heels that comes with 30% discount! arrrrrr. Almost.

Lotsa snacking! nom nom nom. Let’s grow fat together! haha. And we were tempted by the FREE candy-floss from Kiehl’s! Everyone and anyone can just grab and go! Just as I was waiting for my free candy-floss, I was asked if I would like to fill in a survey form (receive free product sample) and take part in the most kissable couple polariod shot or smth (get a chance to win an overseas trip)!?!

Okay. I’m so cheapo and aunty. lols. The moment I heard free samples and a chance to win an overseas trip… my eyes lit up immediately. hahaha! But the main reason of it all was cause the boy from Kiehl’s agreed to let us keep a copy of the polariod shot!

There you go! Our third polariod shot! =p

Happy DDD!

HAPPY DDD! *Credits: Janice*

Apparently, yours truly and her other half have no idea WHEN exactly they got together. HAHA. Seriously, I think we are such failure. It’s not like we FORGOT ABOUT IT! We never did set a date. We prolly are aliens from mars or avatars-breeded! We don’t behave like most couples where they celebrate their monthniversaries, anniversaries.  Sounds yummy lorrr, more lo-mantic and meaningful. Righttttt?

Oh wells, at least, we remembered (roughly) the time we got together. It was last year CNY period. So yup, it makes this time of the year 1-year anniversary! lols. Dateless.

Anyhow, I texted J yesterday as it is. And he replied, “Happy DarDar Day!” That’s how I derived, “Happy DDD!” So I’ve concluded one bad thing about not having “Anniversary-a-MUST-HAVE-routine” :xxx No flowers, no chocolate, no gifts, no dinner, worse still! NO SURPRISE! J must be very, very thankful he could save more money/time/effort. :X So girls, if you adore sweeeeeet surprises and wanna be lovingly pampered, make sure you set the rule beforehand. =p

Honestly, as much as I desire for such sweetness, it doesn’t pose as an issue. What’s more important is the matters of heart and faith we have for each other as we await excitedly God’s plan for us. =)

There you go, HAPPY DDD TO YOU TOO! You’ve been a great blessing! lovelove ♥ Please tone down the training for me this year leh, can can? hahaha.

1st Step to NYR #1

1st step to NYR #1 (New Year Resolution) is fixing a  set of braces. I’ve been thinking hard enough whether I SHOULD go for it at the moment, considering the fact I have to save up quite a bit for my upcoming studies. Then again, if I don’t do it NOW, I’ll harp on it forever. I’ve been doing that for the past 1 year odd already. haha.

So yes! There goes my first deposit of more than 1k and 6 separators stuck in between my teeth. I’m pleased to know extraction of teeth is NOT necessary in my case, HOWEVER, I’m given 6 months time frame for the progess. I’m glad the pain caused by the separators subsided very quickly, just have to bear with the lil’ rubbers for another week before molar bands came into place. Could have put on the braces the following week (it’s CNY period!!), but decided to delay a week later. I would love to enjoy reunion dinner and BAK KWA painlessly! Speaking of which, I needa fix a day with Cindy to buy bak kwa soon. [Aunty See, when are you free? How about Feb 6? =p]

You prolly see me with braces in another 3 weeks time. Meanwhile, date me out to feast/drink/laugh soon! Cheers.

SCAN PAY GO

Last weekend, a group of us went to this uber cool, quiet and refreshing cafe for brunch. Josh, Jon, Jan & Becky. Our initial plan was to swim at Jet’s place but due to our tiredness (after Rachel’s party) and unforeseen circumstances, it was cancelled. So back to piggin out at the superb nice cafe, it is located very near Tiong Bahru Market, as well as, St. Matthew’s Church. Built in one of those shophouses, stationed first level. Their food are affordable (reasonably cheap), nice combination of set meal, good service, lovely jazzy music and very relaxed atmosphere. The perfect place to be on a weekend morning! Love to be there again!

Thereafter, Josh dropped us, the girls somewhere-out-there ’cause he kinda lost his sense of direction to Great World City. haha. We took a bus and started hours of shopping at the mall. The three of us lugged home 4 pairs of Novo footwear, Becky & I one each while the other two belong to Jan!

The most interesting incident gotta be this. SCAN. PAY. GO in Cold Storage Supermarket (Great World City)! COOL-NESS. Helps to save SO MUCH time when you’d only 3 bottles of drinks and you couldn’t escape from queue with trolleys after trolleys.

Oooooooo. Cool-ness.

Every supermarket SHOULD have this!

The 18yo Rachel

The last time I attend Rachel’s birthday party was when she was SIXTEEN years old. And two years blinked just like that! Rachel’s 18yo party was a great one, with yummy food (lovin’ it!), lotsa sabotage (didn’t expect the boys to be so shy) and late-night-chats till 3am in the morning. It has been a long, long *i repeat* LONG time I stayed till wee hours. Awesome!

[On a side note]

I tried Liese foam hair dye but guess it didn’t work on me. (As you can see from the peektures below) haha! Probably cause I chose the DARKEST colour, dark chocolate brown sort. haha! OR could be the fact I’d have used black dye too many times.  Oh wells. At least, I don’t have to resort for a BLACK dye in time to come! lols. [case by case basis] Liese hair dye works on both cousins! So go for it if you are keen! Fast & easy!

AND THE GROUP PIC!

Happy Birthday, Rachel!

Tonight, some of us will be heading down Joyee’s place to celebrate Rachel’s 18th BIRTHDAY! Earlier this week, I shopped in town and managed to find what I intend to buy! I hope Rachel likes it as much as I do. And so, the last thing I need to do is getting it wrapped!

DAISO is the place where I purchase most of my DIY stuffs. I LOVE the idea where everything is $2 and there are loads of varieties! However, I have a problem when it comes to DIY stuffs. I bought stuffs (which I ASSUMED I’ll use it) but are now chucked at one corner. So the thing is, apart from having a good eye for details (on quality), it is wiser to keep your ideas fixed at all times!

Below shows the final product. To further beautify the brown cardboard box, I trimmed ribbon at the edges and attached a hand-made bow on the top cover. Remaining are birthday blessings and a couple of hand-drawn arts, of which, Josh did the floral art at the bottom right!
